DHEEKSHA
Dheeksha is the first full-fledged production from Thiyagaraja Talkies — a bold and emotionally charged Telugu film that centers around a woman’s rise in the male-dominated world of boxing. At the heart of the story is a powerful performance by Nandi Award-winning actress SriRamya, recognized for her exceptional role in 1940 Lo Oka Gramam.
The film marks the directorial debut of Kranthi Chand, a seasoned actor known for his roles in several Telugu films, now stepping into direction with a fresh and compelling vision.
Cinematography is helmed by Vijay Ulaganath, acclaimed for his work in Thoonganagaram, the Malayalam classic Madambi (starring Mohanlal), and the family hit Bhaskar the Rascal (starring Mammootty).
Dheeksha is more than just a sports drama — it’s a story of inner strength, societal barriers, and the resilience of a woman determined to fight her way forward.
